So in the series of bringing you all movies which are based on comics, today again i am here with one more beautiful movie. Titled 'Batman Forever' (1995) and starring Val Kilmer as Batman and supported by Nichole Kidman, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carry and Chris O'Donnell etc. this movie is the 3rd movie in the Batman series and was directed by Joel Schumacher. This movie was also a very big success and crossed the earning of Batman Returns by 336 million world wide.
After 2 darker Batman movies 'Batman' and 'Batman Returns' which were directed by Tim Burton and starred Michael Keaton the producers Warner Bros.' thought of making Batman movies more family oriented and with fun material which kids can also enjoy and so they removed Tim as director and brought Joel and the new director (Although Tim was associated with the movie as producer and consultant). The new cast was also chosen and Val Kilmer became new Batman. Some very powerful actors (Tommy, Jim, Nichole, Chris and even Drew Barrymore) were associated with the movie, making it one of the most awaited movie of the year.
The movie received mixed reviews from the critics but became very successful in audience and was one of the biggest hit of year 1995.
PLOT-
Batman's third film follows the practice of the second by giving him two villains to face, Two-Face and the Riddler. Two-Face blames Batman for his disfigurement and simply wishes him dead. The Riddler is a disgruntled inventor who worked for Wayne Enterprises and is terribly jealous of Wayne's success and sophistication and uses his riddles to show his superiority over Wayne and Batman. Added to this mix are a sexy abnormal psychologist who is not only studying the criminals, but has a thing for Batman as well and Dick Grayson, (Robin) is introduced. Gotham is still a dark and foreboding place in which Batman begins to come to grips with his own psychology as he relives the deaths of his parents in his dreams.
