In the series of uploading those movies which are based on any comics today i have brought you movie 'Red Sonja' which was released in 1985 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen in the lead roles.
Although i know it is not any path breaking movie and can be entered in the list of most disastrous comics adaptions, even Arnold (and believe me he has acted in some really bad movies) considers it his biggest regret, but still i think because it is based on the comic series so it still deserves a watch and thats why i am posting it here.
It is based on the marvel comic series 'Red Sonja' who first appeared in 'Conan the barbarian' comic (Which is also adapted in movie starring Arnold as Conan) and introduced Brigitte as Red Sonja, Arnold portrayed the role of Kalidor and Sandahl Bergman (Who earlier acted with Arnold in 'Conan the Barbarian' as lead heroin) played evil queen Gedren. It was a failure at the box office.
PLOT-
The tyrant Gedren seeks the total power in a world of barbarism. She attacks and kills the keepers of a powerful talisman just before it is destroyed. Gedren then uses the power of the talisman in her raid of the city Hablac. Red Sonja, sister of the keeper, sets out with her magic sword to overthrow Gedren. The talisman's master Kalidor follows to protect her. Of course they fall in love - however Red Sonja's power bases on the oath to never give herself to any man.
